Lawn Elimination Project in Laurel, MD: Promoting Ecological Lawn Alternatives

Check out this lawn elimination project we designed for our client in Laurel, MD. The client was overjoyed with the outcome, and the garden has quickly become the center of attention in her neighborhood! Not only does it add beauty, but she uses it to promote ecological lawn alternatives that benefit the environment.
At LGS, we love lawn elimination projects! They give us an excellent opportunity to foster biodiversity in landscaping. Traditional lawns often become monocultures—areas dominated by a single plant species. Unfortunately, monocultures offer little support for local wildlife. By eliminating lawns, we can create more diverse ecosystems that are rich in native plants and more beneficial to local pollinators, birds, and insects.
Incorporating sustainable garden designs like this one helps to reduce the environmental impact of  lawns while promoting wildlife-friendly gardens. Native plants for biodiversity are essential in these designs, as they help to restore the balance of local ecosystems and encourage healthy biodiversity.
Eco-friendly landscaping is a core part of what we do, and we are passionate about helping homeowners create beautiful, low-maintenance spaces that contribute positively to the environment.
