Things to Consider Before Your Landscaping Estimate
Thanks for requesting an estimate! We conduct a site inventory and analysis as part of the estimate, but some advance planning can be very helpful.
First of all think about how you and other family members would like to use the outdoor space.
- Do you have children or elderly family members who’s needs should be taken into consideration?
- Will you be using the space for entertaining?
- Do you want to be able to view specific features from the house?
- Do you have privacy concerns? Do you want an enclosed or open space?
Do you have a specific style in mind?
- Are you formal or more of a naturalist? Contemporary or traditional?
- Are you looking for variety, or do you want a specific color theme?
- Have you collected pictures or photos of things that you particularly like? Even if they aren’t right for your geography, they may provide additional information about your style.
What is your maintenance style? Are you a minimalist, or do you enjoy working in the garden on a regular basis?
Are there unique features to your landscape that may not be noticed on one visit?
- For example, are there drainage issues in your landscape? Places that receive virtually no rain water?
- Have you had problems with disease, deer or insects?
Do you know your property boundaries?
Are there specific features, trees or shrubs that you want to keep?
These are just a few items that you may want to think about in advance of your landscaping estimate. We believe that by partnering with our customers and fully understanding their needs, we reach the best outcome!
